Traxxas E Maxx vs Stampede

In this article, I’m going to look at the Traxxas e Maxx and the Traxxas Stampede. I want to share a little about both these trucks and give you some insights on the Traxxas E Maxx vs Stampede, and give you features of both RC monster trucks.

Traxxas E Maxx – Monster Truck

The Traxxas E-Maxx monster truck is designed for extreme 6s lipo power. The brushless system in the E Maxx consists of a waterproof MXL-6s ESC that offers up to 25 volts to the 2200kv motor providing sheer power, and pushing speeds of 65+mph. Traxxas Stability Management System makes the E Maxx more stable at higher speeds, and keeps the truck straight on hard accelerations, leaving you in the driver’s seat.

The E Maxx is equipped with long travel 4 wheel independent suspension to handle the toughest off-road terrain, which makes for some real 4WD monster truck fun and excitement. Improvements have been implemented into the suspension, driveline, chassis, and electronics to make this the toughest, most versatile E-Maxx ever.

The E-Maxx has the E Revo sealed pivot ball suspension, dual-servo steering, an all-new transmission, E Revo sealed differentials, a new longer chassis, waterproof electronics and self-righting system all that make the E Maxx durable, reliable and fun.

Comparison – Traxxas E Maxx vs Stampede

Well, obviously these both are great off-road trucks. The stampede is fast and powerful, has a high chassis clearance for rough terrain which is great to keep from getting stuck on obstacles. However, the high clearance means it stands higher off the ground, which can be a downfall for off-road running, especially at higher speed.

The E Maxx is fast and powerful, sits a little wider and lower than the stampede, but still high enough to make it great off-road. They both offer self-righting system. I would personally say the e Maxx wins, Due to its wider stance which makes it more stable at high speed, and lower body and chassis components make it the ultimate monster truck. However, it is a close match and may come to a matter of preference.

    1. Hello Tommy, Both the Traxxas E-Maxx and Stampede are great RC Monster Trucks! The E-Maxx is a powerful and durable Truck that does require two batteries to power it. Initially this can be expensive, however in the long run it is well worth the investment if you plan on staying in the hobby for a long time.
      Thank you,
      Tim

      1. Thank you so much for that. That does make me feel a little better about the two batteries thing. I think I will go for the E-Maxx for my next RC Tuck.

    1. Hi Chris, well the E-Maxx is a little on the pricey side, It is a great RC truck. If your son is young and just starting out, he maybe better to stick with the Stampede till he gets the hang of it. The E-Maxx is a powerful monster truck. However, if he has been into RC’s awhile then the E-Maxx would be a great choice. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
