In this article, I’m going to look at the Traxxas e Maxx and the Traxxas Stampede. I want to share a little about both these trucks and give you some insights on the Traxxas E Maxx vs Stampede, and give you features of both RC monster trucks.
The Traxxas E-Maxx monster truck is designed for extreme 6s lipo power. The brushless system in the E Maxx consists of a waterproof MXL-6s ESC that offers up to 25 volts to the 2200kv motor providing sheer power, and pushing speeds of 65+mph. Traxxas Stability Management System makes the E Maxx more stable at higher speeds, and keeps the truck straight on hard accelerations, leaving you in the driver’s seat.
The E Maxx is equipped with long travel 4 wheel independent suspension to handle the toughest off-road terrain, which makes for some real 4WD monster truck fun and excitement. Improvements have been implemented into the suspension, driveline, chassis, and electronics to make this the toughest, most versatile E-Maxx ever.
The E-Maxx has the E Revo sealed pivot ball suspension, dual-servo steering, an all-new transmission, E Revo sealed differentials, a new longer chassis, waterproof electronics and self-righting system all that make the E Maxx durable, reliable and fun.

Traxxas Stampede – Monster Truck
Traxxas Stampede 4×4 VXL Electric RC Monster Truck is built with the Velineon brushless 3500 motor and 3s ESC. This RC is a monster that is designed with The efficient, low-mass drivetrain to handle the brute torque and power of the brushless system.
The wheelie bar is required equipment as the Stampede 4X4 launches hard, sending the front wheels reaching for the sky. You have full control over how high the front end is able to go, as the wheelie bar is adjustable.
The Stampede has superior handling Thanks to the fully 4 wheels independent suspension and smooth bellcrank steering linkage. This truck can reach speeds to 35+mph with The Velineon Brushless System and included Traxxas 7.4V 4000mAh LiPo battery. Install a 3S LiPo, and the Stampede 4X4 doubles the speedometer with 60+mph speed.
The chassis fully integrates the electronics and battery compartment for an efficient and compact layout and maintains the high center ground clearance that gives Stampede its monster truck stance and high look. The high chassis stance gives it the off-road versatility that allows you to tackle rougher terrain and bigger obstacles.
Its electronics are all waterproof, so running through water, mud, and snow is no problem. It’s extremely fun in wet conditions. Race to win with the Traxxas Stampede 4×4 VXL RC Monster Truck.

Comparison – Traxxas E Maxx vs Stampede
Well, obviously these both are great off-road trucks. The stampede is fast and powerful, has a high chassis clearance for rough terrain which is great to keep from getting stuck on obstacles. However, the high clearance means it stands higher off the ground, which can be a downfall for off-road running, especially at higher speed.
The E Maxx is fast and powerful, sits a little wider and lower than the stampede, but still high enough to make it great off-road. They both offer self-righting system. I would personally say the e Maxx wins, Due to its wider stance which makes it more stable at high speed, and lower body and chassis components make it the ultimate monster truck. However, it is a close match and may come to a matter of preference.
