T-Lock Remote Locking Differentials

Conventional crawlers equipped with axle spools sacrifice turning radius for gained traction. Traxxas gives you the freedom and versatility to lock and unlock both the front and rear differentials to suit your driving needs, all controlled remotely from your transmitter.

The front and rear differentials can be Remotely-actuated. From the transmitter, you are able to unlock the differentials for all-out speed and lock them for rock-gripping traction on treacherous surfaces.

Leave the differentials unlocked for relaxed driving on the trail with smooth, tight turning and better handling at high speeds. When the trail gets rough and real technical, lock the front and rear differentials, or just the front differential, for superior pull and grip over extreme terrain. The Traxxas tactical unit features new cruise control. This cruise control allows you to set your speed on the 2.4GHz TQi radio and adjust it from the Multi-Function knob to match your pace.

The Long-travel aluminum GTS shocks provide plenty of articulation and allow height adjustment with the threaded collars.

A new waterproof 2075X metal gear servo provides turning grunt to the thick steel steering links.

A dual-fit battery tray accommodates both full-size batteries and small 1/16 scale batteries for weight biasing (batteries sold separately).

Heavy Duty Steel Frame Rails

The tactical unit has a thick 1.5mm steel ladder frame with molded cross members. This provides exceptional torsional rigidity to resist even the worst chassis twisting articulation. This extremely rigid backbone lets the suspension do the work it was designed to do. You’ll feel the difference on trails where the elimination of chassis flex allows for precise wheel placement when navigating the rough and technical terrain.

Adjustable Wheelbase

The adjustable shock towers allow you to have four separate “bolt-on” wheelbase positions: 300, 312, 324, and 336mm to accommodate custom body fitment options. Further, fine-tuning is possible with the axle links and adjustable shock position on this tactical truck.

Dual-Fit Battery Tray

This Tactical Unit’s dual-fit battery tray offers extreme flexibility when choosing your batteries. For extended run times, the large upper tray accommodates a full-length 5000 mah 3-cell LiPo or 7600 mah 2-cell LiPo. This truck uses A hinged battery strap that provides quick and secure battery mounting without pins to lose in the field. The innovative strap flips over to adjust for different height batteries.

The tactical unit also features A smaller integrated battery tray that accepts smaller Traxxas batteries (that fit our 1/16 scale models) for increased forward weight bias.

Aluminum Scale Shocks

The All new oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks were created exclusively for the TRX-4 chassis to keep the tactical unit driving smooth over even the roughest trails. These silver-anodized aluminum shocks deliver silky-smooth damping and feature threaded bodies for easy ride height adjustment. The convincing scale realism looks great and they perform even better with an O-ring cap seal and dual X-ring shaft seals.

Molded Wire Retainers

The finer details do matter. Traxxas has incorporated wire retainers into the frame rails, which provide a truly clean and professional look and keep the wiring more secure from off-road hazards.

Heavy Duty Steel Links

Portal Axles

These axles are Exclusive to the TRX-4 chassis, portal axles lift the differential pumpkin to provide incredible ground clearance. Torque Twist Eliminated

On your conventional “trucks” with the limited gear reduction in the differentials, the motor torque is applied to the frame to the point of twisting you right off the rocks. The TRX-4 tactical unit’s chassis’ portal axle design reduces the gear ratio at the wheels, virtually eliminating torque twist through the chassis. Total axle gear reduction is over twice the non-portal designs are so, The Titan motor torque delivers smooth forward motion, not frame twist.

High/Low Transmission

When put in high gear, the Tactical Unit charges ahead full-throttle at speeds more commonly associated with bashing “trucks”. When you reach an obstacle, flip the switch on your transmitter to engage low range and conquer tough terrain with fine throttle control and exceptional torque.

Twin Friction Plate Slipper Clutch

The Tactical Unit’s twin friction plate slipper clutch provides some additional protection from motor stalls in extreme crawling conditions. This provides superior performance.

My Thoughts – Traxxas Tactical Truck

This Off-road RC Truck brings a whole new meaning to off-road crawling. The remote lock and unlock features is truly amazing. “It” is so convenient to switch gears and lock differentials on the go without having to put down the transmitter.
