The Mamba Monster system has been enhanced for higher output when used with 6S LiPo power and has been a proven powerhouse. The radio system is the main connection between the driver and the machine. It has to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. Traxxas XO-1 – Downforce Splitters

 XO-1 combines extreme high performance with sports driving versatility by including two splitters: the factory-installed standard splitter and the canard-equipped High-Downforce splitter for 100+mph speed runs.

The aggressive canards provide very high downforce to keep XO-1 locked to the pavement at top speeds. These splitters are constructed of flexible plastic to resist impact damage, and the splitters and canards can be replaced individually within minutes.

Traxxas Stability Management System

 Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) allows you to experience all the extreme power, speed, and acceleration that was engineered into your XO-1 making it much easier to control on common slippery surfaces such as dusty asphalt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow.

Punch it off the line and TSM goes to work sensing the vehicle’s direction and making steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full-throttle acceleration without fishtailing, spinouts, and loss of control.

The TSM also works during cornering, first making intuitive corrections to maintain your line, and then allowing you to hammer the throttle earlier in the turns for much faster exit speeds. Braking is dramatically improved as TSM works to keep your arrow straight until you come to a complete stop.

The 1/7 scale Traxxas XO 1 measures in at a full 27 inches long and 12 inches wide, XO-1 is a commanding presence on the road. Its extra-large ‘footprint’ improves stability, increases traction, tolerates road imperfections, and delivers high-speed handling that no 1/10 ‘touring car’ can match.

Revo-Spec – Differentials

The differentials used in the XO-1 are race-proven in the 8-time National Champion Revo, The XO-1’s differentials represent the state of the art in power handling and efficiency.

With the Precision silicone gaskets and X-ring seals allows the differentials to be tuned for specific running conditions by varying the viscosity of the diff fluid inside them.

The Reinforcing bars used within these differentials increase strength to withstand the XO-1’s over-the-top power. You can access the Differential for quick and easy tuning. Just remove the front or rear cover and the entire differential slides right out.

XO-1″s Extruded Aluminum Driveshaft

Traxxas XO-1’s center driveshaft is formed from extruded aluminum. There are no dog bones to wear out, no drive cups to wobble and shake. The extrusion process allows the shaft to be hollow and lightweight with internal splines that fit directly and securely onto the input shafts of the front and rear drive assemblies.

The shaft runs perfectly straight and true and offers superior durability. Traxxas engineers highlighted this important innovation with vivid blue anodizing and a laser-etched Traxxas logo.

Traxxas Aerodynamics – Computer Optimized

The Traxxas XO-1’s aerodynamics have been designed and Developed with advanced modeling techniques, The XO-1’s stunning form has been shaped for pure function.

The front splitter and canards, smooth undertray, rear diff and wing work in harmony to harness airflow and convert it to downforce, while minimizing drag critical to achieving 100+mph speeds. XO-1 is the first to deploy a fully developed and functional air-management system in a high-performance radio control car.

XO-1’s advanced aerodynamic components are integrated into a unique body developed specifically for the XO-1’s high-speed stability and increased downforce, with a powerful, wide-track look. The durable, injection-molded rear wing is mounted solidly to transfer downforce to the body and chassis.

The painted ProGraphix body is molded in durable 1mm polycarbonate and is available in four hot new colors (red, blue, black metallic-red, or white-blue). Decals are also applied to save you time and get you driving just minutes after removing from out of the box.

Steel-Spline Dual CV Driveshafts

The steel spline driveshafts were designed specifically for the XO-1, the steel spline dual-CV driveshafts are stunning examples of high-strength, low-mass construction and Traxxas’ attention to detail.

The splined, nickel-plated shafts slide smoothly as the suspension is compressed, assuring efficient power transfer. The female half-shafts are machined hardened steel with a durable black-oxide finish.

These telescoping shafts handle much greater torque loads than conventional driveshafts. Flexible rubber boots on the ends protect the CV joints and splines from dirt and debris.

Cush Drive – Shock-Absorbing

Designed specifically for the XO-1, the Cush Drive absorbs shock to the drive train with a custom-shaped elastomer damper housed between the spur gear and the drive hub. When under extreme load such as hard, high-traction acceleration, The elastomer flexes to dissipate shock without interrupting power flow. The result is instant acceleration with no wasted power for insane performance.

Speed-Rated Belted Tires

The Belted slick tires and functional aerodynamics keep you glued to the pavement. Specially developed for high-speed use, The XO-1’s slick tires are the first to be rated for 100+mph. These tires offer Zero-stretch belting, Which reinforces the soft-compound rubber, and molded inserts support the tread. Black-chrome Split-Spoke wheels set off the 17mm blue-anodized nuts that secure them, and the wheels extra-wide tire mounting area assures 100mph reliability.

Scalable Battery Compartments

Traxxas XO-1 can accommodate a variety of battery configurations and sizes with its unique, scalable battery compartments and quick-release hold-downs. The compartments’ rear bulkhead can be positioned for 135mm and 155mm pack lengths.

The hold-downs can be flipped to hold 23mm and 25mm pack heights. With the optional expansion clips, 38mm to 43mm tall packs can be installed. Removing and installing batteries is easy; just flex the latch open to release the pack, and snap the hold down into the latch to lock it into place.

Strong 3mm Aluminum Chassis

This XO-1 supercar relies on the proven strength of aluminum plate construction for its chassis. The 3mm 6061 aluminum upper and lower decks are rigid yet lightweight.

The lower plate also acts as a heat sink for the power system which helps keep it cool. Aerodynamic components are fully integrated with the chassis in a combination of art and science that could only come from Traxxas.

The massive power system of the XO-1 is designed for maximum strength and enhanced motor cooling, The Traxxas XO-1 features a machined-aluminum motor-mounting system.

This 8mm thick aluminum resists flex and holds the motor tight under the highest loads. This XO-1’s high rpm and torque make proper gear mesh critical, so Traxxas engineers incorporated a unique adjustment screw into the mount to dial in the gear mesh with micro-precision.

Traxxas has also incorporated high strength aluminum suspension parts such as Aluminum shock towers, to provide stiffness and strength fox maximum control to allow the GTR shocks to work efficiently.

 Aluminum c-hubs, that are tough and offer track-ready performance.

Aluminum Steering Blocks, deliver razor-sharp handling and precise control at triple-digit speeds.

The aluminum stub axle carriers, add larger 6x12mm bearings to handle the high-rpm demand of a 100+mph supercar.

Waterproof Electronics – XO-1 Set-up

 The receiver is fully enclosed for protection from the elements. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented watertight seal, and a custom blue O-ring seals the receiver box to keep the water out. The receiver can be removed for service and aftermarket receivers can be installed without losing the sealing properties of the box.

When you have a 100+mph supercar, “It” needs a powerful steering servo for durable and responsive performance. The waterproof steering servo uses O-ring seals to keep the moisture out and the fun going when things get wet. The Traxxas digital high-torque servo provides precise steering authority and speed for high-speed handling.

Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings

Traxxas XO-1 is designed with Precision rubber-sealed bearings that offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in wet or dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the supercar and are virtually maintenance free.

Traxxas engineers have gone above and beyond with the design and development of this RC car. “As” if designing an Electric RC car to do 100+mph right out of the box wasn’t enough of a challenge. Then they had to through in all the extra features to make it really perform well and stick to the pavement at those high speeds.

This car is so powerful and fast that, I personally do not recommend anyone operates it unless you have some real experience with high-speed RC’s. The car handles well, but if you’re not experienced you can get into trouble quickly. What else can I say? Well done Traxxas. Truly an extremely amazing RC car.
