Completely Redesigned Chassis

The chassis is a new design specific to the Rustler 4X4, the driveshafts are strengthened, the arms are new, and the slipper clutch uses aluminum pads like the E-Revo. This truck also gets Traxxas’ self-righting system and a reinforced, quick-release body like the E-Revo and X-Maxx have. The truck rolls out with 3S-rated Velineon brushless power, and you can get it in “red” and “green” paint schemes.

Traxxas designed the new Rustler with simplicity in mind. Old designs made servicing of 4-wheel drive vehicles cumbersome and time-consuming. Traxxas has a better way. The Modular design allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you have full access for easy service and adjustment.

The Rustler 4×4 rides on a new low center of gravity (low-CG) chassis, that has been lengthened 20mm for extra stability. The low center of gravity and wide track width helps the Rustler 4×4 stay planted in the turns for high speed fun and excitement.

3-Channel Micro Receiver

The TQi 2.4GHz micro receiver fits easily into almost any vehicle, and features dual channel-1 steering outputs. The integrated LINK button makes it fast and easy to bind the receiver, and the two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof operation and convenience. In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. The Fail Safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be set or activated.

Receiver Box

The Rustler 4X4’s innovative receiver box is fully waterproof, yet it’s easy to access the receiver. The unique patented design holds a 3-channel micro receiver that saves weight and provides reliable, long-range RC control and performance.

High-Torque Servo. 

An all-terrain truck needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance, and Traxxas delivers with the #2056 high-torque servo. This waterproof steering servo uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. It is Waterproof for all-weather driving conditions. The #2056 servo provides 80 oz-in of steering muscle. That’s twice the power of typical “standard” servos.

Wider Suspension Arms
All-new heavy-duty suspension arms are stronger and wider than ever before. Molded from a tough new composite material, the arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers and resist breakage for non-stop fun behind the wheel

2.8” Black Wheels with Talon EXT Tires 

The Rustler’s large 2.8” black wheels provide terrain-conquering ground clearance and a commanding presence. Aggressive Talon EXT tires dig into dirt and grass for outstanding 4X4 traction. The EXT’s tire compound provides extra durability on pavement with a unique design that resists “ballooning” at high speeds.

The New Rustler Design

“If” you liked the Traxxas Rustler before, You are going to love this All New Redesigned Traxxas Rustler 4×4 vxl. Personally, I absolutely love running my old 2wd Rustler. It does have a lot of upgrades done to it. These upgrades were done to make it more durable for bashing. Now Traxxas has designed the Rustler already equipped with these upgrades. This makes the new Rustler 4×4 a durable stadium truck right out of the box.
